British Pounds and Vacation Pounds

I returned home from vacation with few pounds in my wallet, and with about five pounds on my waist. The way I started eating over there I knew I was going to gain some weight- I am glad it was only five pounds. The first week back from the trip I wanted to dive right into cycle one, but teaching Summer Camp and having to eat the food they gave me- didn't really fit with cycle one. So I started again this Sunday, July 24th. When I returned from vacation I weighed 165 lbs. I am happy to report that after only four full days of dieting I have reached 157 lbs. That's right I lost 8 lbs in four days- and I am so pumped to continue on with the weightloss.

In more recent news both my mother and sister have started the diet- and both have had success thus far. (I won't share their weight online- I am the only one crazy enough to put the numbers up for all to see)

I would also like to share these numbers with you:

To all of you out there struggling with the last month of summer dieting don't give up! You can still achieve great results- I mean look at me! I gained back 5 lbs on vacation and lost it all plus some- leaving me hitting my 20lbs. mark of the summer!
YOU CAN DO IT!

3 countries, 2 weeks, and 820 pictures later...

The 2 weeks I spent in Europe was life changing. Our choir performed and competed fabulously. We took home 2 silvers for mixed and youth choir, and a gold for women's choir. Our women's choir even was able to compete in the final competition for Choir of the World. Some audience members even approached me after saying that our choir was the best and should have won "Choir of the World." St. Paul's Cathedral, Holy Trinity (The burial place of Shakespeare), and St. Patrick's were among many of our performance venues- we were well received in all three countries. In Wales our first hotel went bankrupt overnight and we got kicked out!!- the festival kindly found us other accommodations. I had the time of my life. My favorite sight seeing thing we did was the Gap of Dunloe- I don't think there is a more beautiful place on earth. If you want to hear more details or stories- call or email me. Thank you again to all of those who helped fund my trip- it was well worth the preparation and cost we paid, I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for all the support I received!

These pictures are only a small fraction of all the ones I took- but highlight the trip nicely. Enjoy!
